Digital Scrapbook Day - Blog Hop

Happy Digital Scrapbook Day!

If you are new here...please take a minute to sign up for my newsletter...which always includes a freebie and/or coupon ;)

Now check out this incredible collab kit brought to you by the DHD designers.  All you have to do is gather up the letters from each of our blogs and put them all together to create a coupon code which will get you this amazing kit for FREE!!!  You will also be automatically included in a drawing to win several prizes including DHD gift certificates and even a Silhouette Cameo!  See the DHD blog for details.

But first I have a quick tip today on how to make your photos pop with one simple step.  I am always surprised at how many people have never tried this, so I thought I'd share it.  I am not a pro photographer by any means but I can definitely handle this.

Step 1Open your photo.

Step 2 Duplicate your photo (ctrl j)

Step 3:  Set the blending mode to Screen (or Multiply for an overexposed photo).

Step 4:  If your photo is still too dark, duplicate (ctrl j) the screen (or multiply) layer as many times as needed until it's just the way you like it.  You can also adjust the opacity until you achieve just the right balance.

That's it! Here are a few before & afters.  It took about 2 minutes to edit all three :)

It's fun to experiment with other blending modes too.  I used "overlay" on this one.

And finally, here is your letter - D
